“Sometimes,” said Pooh, “the smallest things take up the most room in your heart.”
The light was waning, so I carried my tripod into our half finished nursery and plopped on the squishy rug, remote trigger in hand and my camera trained on me. London and Malcolm, my ever helpful furboys, milled about, tackling the remote in between takes, then dashing off when I returned to my mark. I’d settle back down and the Peanut would kick, kick, kick as I took the next few frames.
Any self consciousness I felt melted as my three little babies (the feline and the human) distracted me and made me laugh. It was a brilliant reminder that life is more amazing when you turn the focus away from yourself and become engaged with those around you.
